About

Beyond Earlston is a registered charity based in the Scottish Borders where we provide a variety of activities in the towns and villages which make up our catchment area. We provide activities to young people aged 11- 18 (P7 to S6) irrespective of gender or ability.  We try to keep all of our activities free , but you must be a member to attend.  Memberships are online and member of the Beyond Earlston team will call to make sure emergency contacts work and to see if you have any questions about what we do.

We are based in Earlston High School where you can find the staff team and where we store our equipment.  Here we are able to conduct small group meetings as well as one to one sessions.

Were possible we try to visit and offer activities across the catchment using indoor and outdoor spaces.  We have groups and activities throughout the year in Oxton, Lauder, Newtown st Boswells and Earlston.  We also offer a weekly indoor session at Trinity Hall in Melrose where we do baking, movie nights, topical sessions such as LGBT, waste and recycling.  Out P7 transitions project continues to be popular where we visit all seven primaries in our catchment area

Our school holiday programs we keep as low cost or free where possible for young people to take part in.  All of these are advertised through our facebook page and we suggest you 'like' us to be kept up to date.  find us at (20+) Beyond Earlston | Facebook

We are part of the Stepping Stones Project which is a new and innovative partnership between ourselves and the other six locality managers covering the whole of the Scottish Borders alongside YouthBorders. This project is designed to give additional support to young people on their terms as a self-referral project offering guidance in relation to confidence, mental and physical health and relationships. To find out more about the project and how to refer can be found by clicking on the Stepping stones tab at the top of this page

Our Mission

Our mission statement is to enable our young people – particularly those who are not thriving in mainstream education to broaden their horizons through the provision of alternative and stimulating activities (outwith school and sports clubs) which are designed to challenge and inspire. We provide these activities through our BE collection including BE Bold which is our holiday programs, BE Green which is gardening, BE Involved which is our volunteering and community involvement program. We have other shorter programs which change and are advertised and these are launched mainly through of facebook page which can be found by clicking on the links on the home page
